Allen Thompson officiating the double ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of lVlr. E.F. Rutherford of Rich- lands, Virginia and is the dan- ghter of Mrs. Mary Ruth Ruth- erford, Bluefield, Virginia. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Meador Jr. of I'Iinton, West Virginia. The alter of the church was decorated with grecian urns of white snapdragons, white daiseys, Pom-pons and spreffg- eli fern .. The white spiral Candelabra were entwined with Sprengeri fern as were the unity Candles which were lit by the bride and groom unifying their lives at the conclusion of the Ceremony. The bride was escorted to the alter by her father and given in raarriage by her parents. Her gown was of white qui- .haa knit with Queen Anne neck- e and hi-rise waist delicately accented with Venise lace and FlSleedeevPearis on bodice and long es with lace inset and bell .etfffs. Bodice attached to full A- line shirt flowing floor length and sweevin into Chapel train _ g Her fingertip veil of illusion purple status, baby's breath, and white daiseys. Attendants to the bride were Miss Jamie LOu Rutherford of Bramwell, West Virignia, Miss Nancy Hurley of Bluefield, West Virginia, and Mrs. Janet Benn- ett sister of the groom of Hin- ton, West Virginia. They each were dressed identical to the Matron of Honor with floral compliment Dr. Michael Meador of Fair- mont, West Virginia served his brother as best man. Mr. David Meador of Hopewell, West Vir- ginia and Mr. James Meador brothers of the groom, and Mr. David Madison of Hinton, West Virginia served as ushers. The flowergirl was Miss Julie Rutherford, niece of the bride. She wore aformal gown of beige and blue accented with lacing. She carried a basket, of spring flower petals. Master Stevie Saunders served as rings bearer. He carried the golden rings on white satin and lace pillow and was attired in white and yellow formal attire. Organ selections contempor- ay and traditional was perfor- med by Mr. Billy Elliot of Bluefield, West Virginia. He led the congregation in chorus with "We Gather Together" prior to the 'entrance of the bride and at the conculsion of the ceremony, Mr. Elliott accompanied him- ih as accented with venise lace self and sang The Lords Pray- ain and attached to camelot er. He also entertained the eadpiece ornamented with guests and bridal party with rtehing lace and seed pearls, music selections at the recept- _ She carried a cascading ben- ion. Mrs. Linda H. Rutherford and Mrs. Brenda Lafone. The bridesbook was attended by Mrs. Diane Leedy. The table was graced with the bridal bouquet. Mrs. Fig Earnest attended Mrs. Rutherford, Mother of the bride, who is a resident of Bluefield Multicare center. Mr. Van Hooser comes to Appalachian Bible College from a position as choral director of THE PRO- CLAIMERS, a speech- musical evangelistic team. Accompanist for the Chorale is Miss Sarah Pipkin, who has been on the college faculty since 1966. She is a graduate of Appalachian Bible College and Bob Jones University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sacred Music and a Master of Arts in Piano.
