E. Perkins On January 31, 20t2 in my article, "Whose doctrine should we follow? The word NO was left out of Col. 2:23, 'qhese things indeed have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humiJity, and neglect of the body, but are of NO value against the indulgence of the flesh." I paraphrased the end of that verse saying, "but are of NO spiritual value to aid the flesh in righteousness." But when it was printedthat little word NO was left out. That changed the whole meaning of the verse from something that had NO spiritual value to something that had spiritual value which is false. We read in Deut. 12:32, "Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it or take away from it. Paul wrote, "For God is not the author of confusion but of peace as in all the churches of the saints." I Cor. 14:33. And, "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world." We need to clothe ourselves with truth. Titus 2:10, says; "that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things." We need to be careful not to offend God. t Tim. 1:6; so that the name of God and His doctrine may not be blasphemed." If you instruct the brethren in these things, you will be a good minister of Jesus Christ; nourishing in the words of faith and of the good doctrine which you have carefully followed; 1 Tim. 4:6; Obey God; Mt. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15-16; Acts 2:41 we give special to each of our assuring you a personalized and mean# ttd tribute.
