Not pictured are Yrone Sea, Anthony Scrogham and Kadince Cales, Photo by Rebecca Ward Women&apos;s Heart Health Month In honor of "Women's "Heart Health Month," the students in Mrs. Karen Ryan and Mrs. Rebecca Ward's kindergarten class at Hinton Area Elementary wanted to do something special for their Mothers, Grandmothers, Nanas and Aunts. Each student colored one large heart , red, inside this heart was another w heart cut out of writing paper with a special message written by each student for that special person that says: "Be Smart, Take Ca:e of your Heart!" The hearts are on display along with the students photos on the bulletin board outside the classroom. Summers County native and dance p.rofessional Faith Hunt Levine, now of Charlottesville VA, will perform her new intricate and entertaining solo, "Lettuce Turnip and Dance" her ode to food. She writes a daily blog on food and health and is an enthusiastic cook and gardener. Faith also choreographed "Body Music" for Trillium PerformingYouth. She and all five sisters had been part of TPY when in high school. TPY will also perform a piece by Rachel Oliver, who is pursuing her Masters in Fine Arts at UC Boulder. Henry Hill, of Richmond VA, taught hip-hop and performed at Trillium's Fancy Feet Festival . Jimmy Costa and Mary Dailey of Summers County played music at that festival last fall. Henry returns to the Trillium stage with a new solo, "Suite in B Natural, Reset." Carli Mareneck of Monroe County, a cofounder of Trillium, created four pieces for this concert. "Chagall's Village Goes to Town" is a whimsical and vid group piece with handcrafted masks and music from local band Brown Chicken Brown Cow. The duet "Paraguas" which was first created in 2003 will be performed by Taylor Alef and WV Dance Company's Aymen Robertson." Ms. Mareneck also _.created a new solo for WV Dance Company's Donald Laney called "True to Form". "Saving Grace" includes the talented performers Alison Hanchey and Allison WEDNESDAY POWER LUNCH First United Methodist Church at 3rd & Ballengee Streets invites everyone to attend. Lunch is from 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m., join us when you can. Guest speaker from 12:05 - 12:25 p.m. Also special music will be provided The meal is offred free of charge. COMMUNITY SUPPORT The Hinton Lions Club is asking for the Communities support in helping to provide those who need, eye examinations or eye glasses. The Hinton Lions have been providing assistance for over 18 years and are asking community organizations and businesses as well as citizens for monetary donations to continue providing help to those m need in our community. As news spreads of the help being provided, requests are now outnumbering the Lions Club's ability to help. Oncea request is received, the individual's application is screened to insure that other avenues of assistance are pursued before the Lions Club provides help.
