They attend Sunday School classes, and youth classes on Wed. nights. The youth leaders plan activities to reward the young people's faithfulness. January 29, after morning worship services, the young people were invited to meet in the fellowship hall for a day of fun. Pizza Hut pizza was served for lunch with cookies, chips and soda. With the temperatures so cold outside it was the perfect day for board games. Several adults accepted the challenge to stay and play games such as Sorry, "Uno, Go Fish, Operation and many more fun games. Preacher Eddie played with the young ones with "Ellie Elephant Butterfly Catch", Bird Nest, and Color game. With kids from two years old to seventy-six it was quite an afternoon. The movie "Courageous" was shown at 5:00 p.m. What a blesses day it was for the Little Wolf Creek Baptist Church family. I Never Knew You Mt. 7:21-23 One Law By C. E. Perkins For years the Lord's church taught that there were three great ages of history. The first s from Adam to Moses, the Patriarchal Age where God dealt with the heads of family such s Abraham. The next being the Law and Prophet Age from Moses to Christ; and the last Age is the Christian Age, from Christ to the end of time. Around 1975 some.began to teach that the Patriarchal Age only ended with the Hebrews, with the coming of the Law of Moses but continued for all other people until the time ol Christ. But Moses wrote in Num. 15:15, "One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you and ordinance forever throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord." The Stranger was under the same lawas the native- born; Num. 9:14, & 19:10, Lev. 17:8, & 22:18, & Ex. 12:49; these scriptures prove the point. When Esther saved her people, many of the people of the land became Jews; Esther 8:17, they became Proselytes. Balaam is the last Patriarch we hear about in scripture who worshiped under the Patriarchal Age; Num. 22:5, & Rev. 2:14. After israel crossed the Jordan River we hear of no other Patriarch. Why did God send Jonah to Nineveh? Why not a Patriarch? Paul said, the Jews had a great advantage over the stranger in that they had the oracles of God: Ram.3:1-2. Jesus told the woman at the well in Samaria, "you worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation isof the Jews," John 4:22. Paul said the stranger at that time had no hope and were without God in the world; Eph. 2:12. Obey God; Mr. 28:18-20; Mk. 16:15-16; Acts 2:41 I like the dreams of the future better than the history of the past. --Thomas Jefferson at 6:35 p.m. on January 31, 2012 at Blount Memorial Hospital in Maryville, TN. Uohn 8:32) Making Sense of Baptism (Part 4) by Eric Lyons, M.Min. <> . < ic=139> &article=1230&topic=139 Used by permission. It is in the act of baptism that the cross is actualized for the sinner, and brought to have individual significance (Riley, 2000, p. 72). Every time a person becomes a Christian, a sinner dies ("being buried with him in baptism"-Colossians 2:12), and is raised up a saint "through faith in the wo'king of God, who raised Him [Jesus] from the dead" (Colossians 2:12). Truly, baptism "makes sense" (perfect sense) when we take the time to focus on the One Who gave both His life for us, and the mode of baptism to begin our new life with Him (Matthew 28:18-20). Similar to how Noah's new life, in a new world, began after having been transported from a world of sin by water (1 Peter 3:21; cf. 2 Corinthians 5:17), the sinner is carried by water into the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. This submissive act ushers us out of the world and into a relationship with God. REFERENCES Riley, Tom (2000), Dying to Live Again (Webb City, Mac Covenant Publishing). Whiteside, Robertson L.
